Let It Out

I try to live my life with a sense of calm.  After all, it’s healthier, right?  Keep the blood pressure down, decrease stress, never let ’em see you sweat.  I recently stepped back into the practice of yoga just to help me learn to relax and find my “zen”.

The truth is, though, life is hectic.  There never seems to be enough time in the day.  Deadlines loom.  You have to scurry to keep up with…and ahead of…your competitors.  To be a leader in your industry, whether that’s a stay-at-home-mom (toughest job in the world, by the way), a corporate executive, or a business owner, all of the stresses can really build up.  If you don’t find a way to release that pressure gradually, it can all build up to the point of explosion.

So, my point is…let it out!  Don’t be afraid.  But do it gracefully, and without anger.  Try something that gets your adrenaline pumping, like  jumping out of an airplane (with a parachute, of course) or doing a NASCAR ride-along.  Scare yourself a little.  Seriously, just let it out.  It just may be the most beautiful experience you’ll ever have.
